- Understand what "adrenal fatigue" is, and what it isn't.
- Understand the anatomy of stress: the HPA axis and the resulting hormones
- Understand the physiology of stress: the domino effect of stress, what triggers the stress response, and how you can help the patient reduce it.
- DDX: Maybe it's not adrenal fatigue. Maybe it's something else. We give you a long list of DDX options and what to look for.
- Understand what to look for in the History and Physical Exam that will indicate a lifestyle of prolonged stress and adrenal fatigue, as well as which lab tests will help you discern which stage of adrenal fatigue the patient may be experiencing.
- Understand which health conditions are likely consequences of a lifestyle of prolonged stress and unaddressed adrenal fatigue, as well as which history and physical exam findings and lab tests will help in a proper diagnosis. This is what the patient has to look forward to if they won't change their trajectory.
